There have been a dearth of posts on here for way too many reasons:
- Renovations
- No free time
- Forget how to get the build environment running
- The list goes on…
The entire list is rather long and boring really, and should not have been allowed to affect the site information. I’ll try doing better with it.
Meanwhile, back in ovSAGE land…
We have been having meetings every month, despite the lack of posts. There were a few retro-compute nights with a simulated Altair 8800 and a CP/M refresher (for those who used it before). All new to those who had not. We even played Zork.
There was a Git tutorial night that covered the basics. If you are not using it, you are probably forgetting how it works. Refreshers are necessary for those of us who don’t spend the day doing this for a living.
What is next? I’m thinking it is time to revisit Docker (and expand on it a bit). We can start with creating an environment for running Hugo and go from there. It isn’t difficult to manage and may be of more than passing interest to some of the members.
I’ll be posting necessary details to the calendar and to the mailing list.
