Well, I guess this would indicate why there have been few comments
lately, etc. It appears that there was a typo in the email processing
routine of the software. I just tried sending an email to myself from
the site after Kelly told me that he couldn’t get a password reset
email. I suspect this would have affected new signup as well. Not
amusing. All appears to be fixed now, so anyone who needs a password
reminder/reset should now be able to get one. Sorry for the
inconvenience.
It’s that time of the month again. Come out and be social. Who knows,
maybe the answers you are looking for are right under your nose.
Happy new year to all!
Meeting delayed 1 week: Now January 27
It’s 2005 and we should try something new for ovSAGE. We should have a
training session during the meetings, a Q&A, maybe a vendor visit, or a
hardware presenation. This doesn’t have to be every meeting, but we are
supposed to be about forwarding the profession.
It’s a bit late to do anything like this for January, so how about next
month? Anyone have a pet project they want to get going? Some technology
they want to implement? Lets get a few show and tell sessions on the go
and get a few contributions up on the site. We ahe a forum, and we have
postings. I can create new areas as we want them, and if someone want to
start a discussion group, we can have that as well. I will be reviving
the Mailman list for February, so we will have a mailing list available
again.
No wild and crazy topics, maybe a view to what should be done in the new
year? Things to cover, training? vendor visits? Special topics and
presentations? Come one, come all… step right up and suggest some new
and exciting things for the local system administrators. If you don’t
play, you can never win. Anyone can contribute their $0.02. That’s
right, Big Top System Administration. Only a few virtual front row seats
available.
Just a reminder that the exam will be happening Saturday Dec 11, 2004.
Seatings at 11:00 and 13:00.
