We have another meeting Thursday, Nov 17, 2005 at Altera.
See the calendar for address information, or check the meeting location
link at the top.
We may even have a proposal for a new format to add some useful
substance to these meetings - it’s a thought. In addition, I do not know
how many people are members of Usenix and SAGE, but there have been some
rather interesting developments in the past week. I’ll be chatting about
that for a bit as well.
If you tried to add info and failed, it may have been due to the OS
upgrade done last week. I’m hoping everything is OK now.
I’m thinking it’s time to sponsor another exam. Maybe in late January?
If anyone is interested, comment below.
There are tutorials on the IBM developer works site to help with
covering the required material for the 100 series.
More info can be posted if interest is there.
There will be an October meeting. Sorry for the lack last month, but I
was distracted.
Topics: tracking what you are doing, documentation, and the never ending
“This is your new top priority”.
Time management may also be a good item, given the last comment. Who can
point out what is important right now and say that if you want me to do
this, this other item drops off the radar until complete. Who sets
priorities?
I have lost the author name for this item
This is not so much a story, unless you consider someone in this day and
age not being at home in the Linux environment. There, I’ve admitted it
to the world at large that I’m a Windows geek. It’s not pretty and it’s
not by choice but it is the way of the world at the moment. I need help
to mend my heathen ways and so I ask for assistance from all and sundry.
Any intelligent advice will be appreciated.
