It’s June, we are almost halfway into the new year, and things haven’t changed too much. We still don’t have many new topics, many new people, and Ottawa is still in a very slow recovery mode. This month, I hope to at least talk about the open filer, that I mentioned last month.
Same bat time, same bat channel. Look at the meeting link
I finally got around to upgrading to the latest version of the software. There may be a few items broken/missing, as some of the modules I was using supposedly are not compatible. Any discrepancies should get ironed out over the next couple of days.
May meeting is fast approaching. Hopefully we will have a little discussion regarding the upcomming LPI exams, and a little discussion regarding a couple of storage technoogies, ATAoE and OpenFiler.

It’s that time again…
Welcome to April. We are having a meeting this Thursday, April 21 at the Altera Technology Center as usual. There are a number of things that can be discussed, one of which is the potential Canadian modification of the copyright laws and allowing for serious privacy infringements.
Ottawa Valley SAGE is pleased to sponsor another LPI exam session on May 28, 2005.
Yes, I know it’s a bit out of the way, but we do have use of the training center there, and it holds about 40 to 50 people. Traditionally, space has not been an issue.
We will try to have the next one in a downtown location, to assist with the people who prefer to not visit the ‘burbs.
